Jacksonville Main Street Gift Giving Policies

Jacksonville Main Street Gift Acceptance Policy

Because Jacksonville Main Street is a charitable not-for-profit organization that receives no State or Federal funding for its regular operations, the organization relies on the generosity of local support for its sustainability.

Jacksonville Main Street solicits and accepts gifts that are consistent with its mission and that support its core programs, as well as special projects.

Donations of cash and liquid assets, as well as in-kind donations, will generally be accepted from individuals, partnerships, corporations, foundations, government agencies, or other entities.

Gifts of real property, personal property, or illiquid securities may only be accepted upon approval of the Jacksonville Main Street Finance Committee, and Jacksonville Main Street’s counsel if deemed necessary by the Board as recommended by the Finance Committee.

Jacksonville Main Street Giving Policy

From time to time, if deemed advisable by the Jacksonville Main Street Board of Trustees, Jacksonville Main Street may make gifts to other 501(c)3 nonprofit organizations if the gift will further the Jacksonville Main Street mission and is consistent with Jacksonville Main Street's core values. In such circumstances, Jacksonville Main Street shall perform due diligence review of the requesting organization's standing and mission prior to making the gift.

Our mission is to enhance the quality of life, cultivate the historic integrity, and help businesses thrive through partnerships and programming in downtown Jacksonville.
